IS ESPN+ a Good Value?

Reading Time: 3 minutes

If you’re looking for an over-the-top subscription video streaming service, ESPN+ might be the right option for you. The service is owned by Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company and Hearst Communications. It offers a diverse mix of sports and entertainment content.

There are two main types of subscriptions available: monthly and yearly. Both of these plans give you access to a large archive of on-demand content. This includes the entire 30 For 30 library, select ESPN films, and game replays. Additionally, ESPN Plus subscribers can buy UFC PPV events directly through the service.

Users of ESPN+ can also customize their viewing experience by choosing their favorite sports leagues and teams. The content is accessible on a variety of devices, including web and mobile devices. Users can also access fantasy sports tools and premium articles. The subscription fee is not expensive, and ESPN+ offers a great value for your money. It is even more affordable if you get it with the Disney Bundle, which gives you Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ in one very affordable package.

On top of this, ESPN+ also offers on-demand content. On-demand shows include popular sports shows and documentary series. This includes the 30 for 30 documentary series, as well as hit shows like O.J Simpson: Made in America, and The Last Dance. These are just a few of the many new shows and movies available through ESPN+.

While there are several ways to access ESPN+, the main way is to download the app. The app allows you to stream the content on virtually any platform, including PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Samsung smart TVs. You can also access the content on up to three devices at a time. You can also access live sports events from ESPN+ on your iPhone or iPad.

There are some limitations with this service, though. It is not as comprehensive as other streaming services, so you might have to find alternatives to cable TV. Those looking for a cheaper alternative may be interested in Hulu+ Live TV, Sling TV, or other streaming service. Additionally, it doesn’t offer a DVR, so you’ll have to watch all your favorite shows on demand. But if you don’t like waiting, you can watch on-demand programming and select events from the ESPN App.

ESPN+ is a streaming service that lets you stream live sports, exclusive on-demand programs, and much more. It’s not your typical sports network, so you’ll find live games, on-demand shows, and other content you love. You’ll also find original programming, as well as access to original sports content. And the best part is that the service is relatively affordable for such a niche service. Whether you’re at home or on the road, you can watch your favorite events and programs anywhere with decent Internet access.

While you’re watching live sports, you can also get full-length TV episodes, documentaries, and sports news through ESPN+. As a subscriber, you can also access the full catalog of ESPN 30-for-30 documentaries as well as new original series on the platform. What’s great about this service is that you can watch it on your computer or mobile devices. If you’re a sports fan, you’ll never miss a game or show.

ESPN+ is also great for those who love sports content, but don’t want to spend a lot on it

The Unique Niches that Make People Love about ESPN+

NHL

CNET reportsESPN Plus is the home of all out-of-market National Hockey League games, replacing the league-owned NHL.TV package at a much lower price. Fans like myself, who root for teams that aren’t based where they currently live, need ESPN’s streaming service to watch their team’s action this season. The service won’t be of much use, however, to fans of the home hockey team. Local games are blacked out on ESPN Plus so you’ll need access to your regional sports network through cable or a live TV streaming service in order to watch them.”

UFC

CNET also reports “In 2019, ESPN Plus became the exclusive US carrier of all UFC pay-per-view events. This includes some matches for free as part of the ESPN Plus subscription. It’s also where pay-per-view matches will live, usually for an extra fee. For new customers, ESPN sometimes offers bundles that include a discounted price on a year’s subscription, as well as access to a PPV match.”

CFL

Can’t wait until the Fall for the NFL or college football? Many get their football fix during the summer from ESPN+, which carried every game of the 2022 season and it looks like that will continue in seasons to come.

All kinds of Other Sports

ESPN+ has a plethora of other sports to choose from.

Great for Those Who Went to Small Colleges

ESPN+ is the home of all kinds of sports for those who went to smaller colleges and universities and still want to see their teams in action want the big time school treatment.  Virtually all the smaller FBS conferences and there is also plenty of Division II schools to check out.
