How Change Management Prosper From Using Two Timelines

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Welcome to the nineteenth article in the series “Be the Leader You Aspire to Be” here on The Price of Business Show, where I will focus on the trends which lie ahead of us and how they will affect humans and businesses. The articles are based on my book Energetic Leadership, which talks about 9 trends leaders must navigate to cater for employees increasing demand for more spiritual leadership and sustainable business models aligned with their life purposes. These articles are about business leadership in the new era. I hope you will find inspiration for your own leadership and the leader you aspire to be.

The first article outlined 9 trends for business leadership and focused on authentic curiosity as a key competency for leaders to master. The second and third explained the concept of energy frequencies as the source of our true potential, followed by the alignment of the company’s purpose with the life purposes of employees and customers.

The fourth covered the 6-5 different generations currently working, the fifth focused on self-care and the ability to be present and the sixth was about uncertainty and how to navigate in it. The seventh article talked about the importance of intuition in decision-making and the eighth, nineth and tenth articles were about what a healthy economy and society are and how we all can improve democracy.

In the eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth articles we looked at customer journeys built on healthy energy and how intuition and resilience can improve productivity. The fourteenth to sixteenth articles were about the world as a mirror of how we are doing and the multidimensional human taking over and what we do with true AI, with the seventeenth article looking at authenticity in leadership.

In the eighteenth and in this article, I look at Change Management as a discipline in business leadership which has changed a lot in the last decade. Change Management has evolved alongside the disruption we have seen after Coved19 in how we have become better at using technology, how we have accepted remote and hybrid work, how we are starting to use more iterative methods in our design and process development. And we are seeing new ways of creating organizations, some only with one manager or with fewer than in the old hierarchy. Organizations are becoming more organic like water; they flow. We are starting to set people free. Not just because of Covid19 but because of evolution.

We are moving from an industrial era to a human era as we are beginning to realize that if we want to become sustainable, we as humans must be sustainable first from inside and out. We humans are the drivers. Change must come from inside and out. The challenge with that is that we have not been raised, taught og trained in how to be human beings. Instead, we have learned to be human doings. So, we have as people and organizations and even societies a lot to relearn (remember) leaving us with a huge potential to unleash and bring into a world of starving innovation, creativity, joy and compassion.

The first step of changing Change Management was to set people free and make the workplaces more flexible. Covid19 helped the process.

The second step of changing Change Management is to widen our consciousness; here we get help from various unbalanced world leaders who still think they can lead through fear and manipulation. I believe humans have become wiser, braver, more self-aware and dare to stand up for what is genuinely true. The simultaneous shift in energy frequencies is also helping humans with lots of tail wind.

The third step of changing Change Management is to gain the awareness that our business structures – both operating and business models – need to change too so they are operating both within the Gregorian timeline (we have used for centuries) and a more human and energetic timeline.

The Gregorian timeline is the operating timeline that will help us communicate in a global ESG and digital set-up – and a timeline we all understand. The Energetic timeline is the “new” which we must relearn and integrate into our business set-up. The new timeline can overrule the Gregorian timeline as it speaks from our souls and future selves not our rational egos. The Energetic timeline is vital to listen and steer from as it keeps humans, organizations and societies healthy.

I call it Energetic Leadership, that we lead our energy, people and businesses in a healthy and prosperous way.
