How To Upgrade Leadership Skills To Be Ready for True AI

Welcome to the Sixteenth article in the series “Be the Leader You Aspire to Be” here on The Price of Business Show, where I will focus on the trends which lie ahead of us and how they will affect humans and businesses. The articles are based on my book Energetic Leadership, which talks about 9 trends leaders must navigate to cater for employees increasing demand for more spiritual leadership and sustainable business models aligned with their life purposes. These articles are about business leadership in the new era. I hope you will find inspiration for your own leadership and the leader you aspire to be.

The first article outlined 9 trends for business leadership and focused on authentic curiosity as a key competency for leaders to master. The second and third explained the concept of energy frequencies as the source of our true potential, followed by the alignment of the company purpose with the life purposes of employees and customers.

The fourth covered the 6-5 different generations currently working, the fifth focused on self-care and the ability to be present and the sixth was about uncertainty and how to navigate in it. The seventh talked about the importance of intuition in decision-making and the eighth, nineth and tenth articles were about what a healthy economy and society are and how we all can improve democracy. In the eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth articles we looked at customer journeys built on healthy energy and how intuition and resilience can improve productivity. The fourteenth and the last articles were about the world as a mirror of how we are doing and the multidimensional human taking over.

In the sixteenth article I look at what true AI is and what skills we as humans must upgrade to stay sane and ahead. The first time I heard true AI mentioned was last year when I was interviewed by the tech CEO Spencer Lowe on his podcast ‘Lessons in Leverage’. Spencer said, “we need to upgrade our skills before true AI is a reality within the next 10 years”.

True AI is not ChatGPT as this is only a language model. True AI is often referred to as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), represents a level of artificial intelligence that possesses human-like cognitive abilities. Unlike narrow or specialized AI, which excels in specific tasks, True AI exhibits versatility and adaptability across a broad range of intellectual tasks.

When we are getting AI with cognitive abilities in less than a decade we need to hurry up and upgrade our skills so we can remain in charge of “the spaceship” of humankind.

We need to upgrade skills like:

Curiosity, that we are authentic in our curiosity and about the future ahead of us both as leaders and employees because we need each other to find innovative solutions to our challenges.

Energy Awareness – that we understand that everything is energy, and we have our own energy field we can manage/work with helping us to heal and using energy as a modality.

Consciousness and Intuition – that we learn to be still and truly present to expand our consciousness and thereby get access to our intuition and creativity which is so much needed for future innovative solutions.

Collaboration – that we learn to listen, concede and challenge in constructive ways to make teamwork a smooth and natural thing.

Tech & AI & Rules – that we learn skills relevant to stay upgraded which are necessary for our lives and work and that we implement relevant rules & regulations, so it is humans leading the show not True AI.

Organizational & Value Chain Transformation– that we understand that by mastering our future human skills we become the competitive advantages for developing organizations, products, customer journeys and deliveries suited for the Age of True Humans and True AI.

I call it Energetic Leadership, that we lead our energy, people and businesses in a healthy way.
